This Halloween will mark our first anniversary of being open to the public! We'd like your ideas for how to celebrate, IC or OOC. Some ideas have already come our way! A Nightmare Night party seems like a good idea. But where and when? Should we have Trick-or-Treating? Should scary things transpire? Moreover, when can you guys make it? Should we have something that lasts several days, or even a week? I won't be here on Halloween proper until late--will you? Post your ideas and comments below.

THE RETURN OF THE BLOOM DOLL
Nopony except the princesses ICly remember, Discord got loose during leap day this year and caused all kinds of, well, chaos, as he does. In the end, all the changed ponies and the altered Equestria wound up being sealed away somewhere to continue existing without allegedly troubling "our" Equestria.
They were wrong.
As Nightmare Night looms forth, and ponies are to prepare for the festivities, something... happens. The palace is changed. The princesses change.
Instead of a return of Discord, ponies in Equestria must now face one of his Elements, only the Princesses may remember. The Bloom Doll, an aspect of fear and the "Discord" Apple Bloom, has taken over the palace and is corrupting Equestria in her own way, all as revenge for being sealed away in the wake of her master's latest exploits.
As an OOC explanation of what I had in mind, like with Discord day, ponies can volunteer to have their greatest fear in one of two categories unleashed on them. The first category is "spooky" fear and would involve a more comedic monstrous "worst fear" of the pony.
An example of this category would be a giant bee haunting Apple Bloom wherever she goes, looming, but never *striking.*
The other category is darker, and more drama than comedy-oriented. Adult fears. The more real, very personal, deep fears of individual ponies. Instead of monsters under a filly's bed or one of Skyheart's poems spawning carnivorous houses, an example of this would be a proposed idea I gave before:
Celestia is rendered powerless, reduced to being an anonymous earth pony. Sure, she can claim to be the princess, but her appearance and inability to act in the face of this danger my dissuade ponies from believing her. Simultaneously, while Celestia may be in helpless anonymity, through no power of her own, Luna is forced to be Nightmare Moon once more and revel in her own power, Luna's (Possible) greatest fear being to succumb to her worst moments in life without her sister capable of aiding her.
Ultimately, I want the Bloom Doll not to be a simple villain here, but somepony who'll need heavy artillery (Read: Elements of Harmony.) to defeat and bring Equestria back to order.
I must emphasize that the Bloom Doll is not like Discord. Whereas Discord would enjoy a more lol-worthy thing, the Bloom Doll wants ponies living in fear, either in something horrifying or a potentially deeply scarring personal crisis.
Thank you for your time.

There's a strange old house on the edge of Ponyville, at the border of the Everfree Forest, that has stood abandoned ever since a lonely old mare died within. Little of her life was known, and even fewer have bothered to go near the house. It has started to fall apart, and ponies simply wait for the Everfree to reclaim it.
The first day of the week of Nightmare Night, some young pony near the place for whatever reason sees something move in the window. They pass it off as nothing and return home.
Then they see something at their window...
Something is visiting Ponyville, and it isn't leaving until its made its presence known. Inquiries and investigations and perhaps an excursion into a ghastly old house and all the insanity that can come of that will be required.
Just a good old fashioned haunting idea, which I think we can pull off with some motivation.

Nettleglum's house is full of terrible things, some of which we gave her ourself. They were all harmless and friendly... while Nettleglum was there to control them.

I think that sounds lovely. Nettleglum's house can be the one possessed and horror-fied for the purpose of the RP.
... Well, more than it already is.

So in short, something haunting Nettie's house (and what isn't haunting Nettie's house?) will follow and haunt anyone who sees it. It may spread! Will it ever be worse than glances and flits at the edge of vision? Is there any way to appease it?
Good plot idea! In fact, I think we should do all the ideas anyone has had. Let's make the Bloom doll happen, though maybe not in a way that overwhelms all other RP. Let's have Nightmare Night parties and trick-or-treating if it seems possible. And let's let horror and bedlam amass where they will.
Who's with me?! =D

We might also curse Firefly to stalk the streets and terrify ponies as a brutalized and feral reminder of Luna's ever-simmering madness. If she is interested, of course.

It's time for the Apple Bloom doll to strike! (As if Ponyville hasn't been through enough.) Please page Marble Memory if you wanna be cursed and want details how. Those who already volunteered should let Marble know again so he can make a list. The Bloom Doll will (hopefully) strike tomorrow (Tuesday) night, and its effects will linger.
