<OOC> Dusk greets! "Howdy hi! Actually gonna idle for work for a couple of hours, but ICly bringing Blue and company over here. :-)"
Fluttershy just can't seem to keep her mane dry today...not that it really bothers her that much. She brushes wet locks out of her eyes again and smiles. "Oh, should we invite everypony else along, too? I-I mean, maybe we could move the cloud close to the ground, or..."
Scooping Scootaloo back up, Rainbow Dash zips high to the ceiling, then gives a quick roll in the air as she tucks herself into a cannon ball and drops straight back down into the water. Right before she hits she lobs Scoot up into the air, letting her flail before she hits. Splash! As her rainbow mop pops back up, she shakes her head free. "Whatcha mean invite everyone else? It's a pegasus party!"
Flapflap! Goes Scootaloo's little wings, trying her hardest to fly. She hovers for just a second before she slowly descends and, without fail, flops down into the water with one last flail at the air. Huffing, she peeks her eyes abovewater and snorts out bubbles, scowling skyward. One of these days, gravity. One of these days there will be a reckoning. "Yah, Fluttershy! I've never gotten invited to a pegasus party before! I wonder...I wonder if I can get my cutie mark! Maybe being around a bunch of pegasi will help me fly and then I can learn all these cool tricks, one of them has /got/ to be my special talent! Talents are hard work, right? Flying is hard! It fits!"
Fluttershy sighs wistfully. Oh, Scootaloo, you're such a Charlie Brown (whoever that is). "W-well, if you say so. I mean, I wouldn't want to mess up a 'pegasus party'." Although she isn't sure when it became a pegasus party or what that means. "So...just the three of us?"
"Well, there'll be Bluestreak, and I'll invite Barnstormer over as well! Annnd.. well, I guess I can get a few others over from Cloudsdale if you all want, otherwise us three would be fine. We can order a pizza, hang out on the couch, tell ghost stories, play some games, teach Scooter here how to fly." She says as she musses up the fuchsia colored mane on her orange friend's head. "You know Scootaloo, you're so wicked awesome on your scooter and you're really into speed and tricks on that. Maybe that is your gift, yeah? You could be a scooter dare devil or something."
Scootaloo tolerates the noogie on account of Rainbow Dash calling her awesome. "You /really/ think so?!" The little pegasus says up to her idol, eyes wide as she takes a moment to contemplate. Her special talent... the scooter? Daredevil? Tricks and races all on the scooter? Might that be a tingle on her flank? Could it b-- "Nah! Can't be. Otherwise I'd have my cutie mark by now! I've been scootin' for-ev-ar!" So close. So close. "Besides, it's gotta be something even more amazing! Like... a rocketeer! Or a hockey player."
There is a small snort from Rainbow Dash. "That's because you don't see what -we- see. Everyone knows you're awesome on the scooter and that's what you're good at. Just like how Sweetie is a great singer and Apple Bloom is .. well.. you know.. apples." She says, poking her young padawan in the stomach with her hoof. "Getting a cutie mark is about doing something you're /passionate/ about. Not finding something you're kinda good at. I love speed, and winning, and it's what I do. I win because I'm only the most amazing and most awesome pegasus in all of Ponyville. But you're the most awesome scooter racing daredevil trick flipper thingy-mah-bob and yah' should embrace it instead of trying to be something you're not. You ain't a hockey player, you ain't a rocketeer, yer' a scootah-trick-rider."
Fluttershy smiles. "Rainbow is right. You know I only got *my* cutie mark once I realized...um, well, I guess I already told you that once." Fluttershy blushes a bit and sinks into the water up to her muzzle. "...although, I guess a rocket is *kind* of like a scooter."
Scootaloo blinks as she looks between Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy, her head tilting to one side as her ears take in what they're saying. "You *really* think my super special talent is my scooter? But...it's just so, I dunno... it's a scooter. Just like Sweetie Belle can sing but she doesn't like singing in front of crowds, and Apple Bloom is really good at artsy stuff but she wants to be good with apples. How's it make sense? Isn't a talent something more important than just being good at something?" Uh oh. This is getting deep, possibly the deepest conversation Scoots has ever had.
Derpy suddenly crashes through one of the lower level windows, tumbling end over end. Her eyes are slowly making widdershins revolutions and her tail drifts like a flag in a languid breeze. Shreds of glass and letters fly everywhere.
"Well, I mean, a talent is a talent, just like.." Crash. ".. Just like Derpy's talent is.. well, flying through windows." Rainbow Dash ducks a bit down into the water, pulling Scoot with her so she won't get sharded by flailing pieces of glass. "Uh, hey Derpy!" She calls out with a squint of her eyes. "Seriously Scootaloo, it may be just a scooter to you, but think about how it makes you feel, right? You know when you go fast, and then you hit a ramp and you're like WOOOO! Yah? And you three-sixty that thing and land with a rail slide, and vrooooom, you take off again? See, that's awesome. That's what you're good at."
"Derpy Hooves! Are you okay?" Fluttershy pops up out of the water, her wings buzzing like a hummingbird's and spraying wet droplets everywhere. She Helps the gray pegasus up - again - taking care not to cut her hooves on any shards of glass. "We were just talking cutie marks with Scootaloo..."
Scootaloo spits out a mouthful of water as she's ducked then resurfaces, shaking her head first to one side then the other to clear out the water. "Huh?" She blinks up at Rainbow, apparently having missed some of it. "Well, I guess I am good at scooters and all and I do have fun with it." She murmurs, but she's distracted from The Biggest Revelation of her Life by the entrance of Derpy and she blinks over to the other pegasus, "Uh...you okay?"
Derpy hits the water with a huge, indulgent -sploo-osh!- Spray and fine bubbles get sent several meters into the air! The gray pegasus frantically splashes around, eventually letting Fluttershy drag her out. She has plenty to worry about though! "My mail!!" she shrieks! The bag is sopping wet! Derpy dashes around the tub in a circle, sidetracking Rainbow Dash's attempt to appeal to Scootaloo's deepest emotions. "Will be wet! All letters ruined!! All messages messed!" She throws the bag onto a bank of heated stones, perhaps in hopes that the contents will dry out.
Rainbow_Dash plucks a few floating letters out of the water and gives them a good shaking before laying them out as well. "Derpy, you really should try using the door instead of the windows. You'd probably hurt yourself way less that way." She calls over with a loud sigh to the gray pony. "Annnnyways, Scootaloo, you and me got a date with your scooter tomorrow."
"Derpy, wait, no! Not on the-" Too late. Holding the bag *over* the stones and letting convection take its course might be fine; putting it directly on them means there's hardly any time it all before the paper sticking out begins to smoke. Your mail is not a firewalker, Derpy! Fluttershy buzzes over and fumbles the bag, knocking it off the stones one inch at a time until it falls over onto the wet floor. The yellow pegasus looks at her hooves, cringes, and dunks them straight into the water. "P-phew," she sighs, putting on a painedly forced smile. "Y-yes. You and...scooterloo..."
Derpy starts to flail, scattering hot stones and bits of glass and splashing up water. "LETTTERRRS!!" she wails. She picks up some of the smoking ones and starts putting them here and there--on towel shelves, in between posts, in baskets of spa product. It isn't long before Lotus runs out and tries to calm her down.
Fluttershy starts to pat out the letters again, but wet hooves are no good - she'd only panic Derpy more! She sucks in a deep, cloud-pushing breath and does the only thing she can think of - blows gently on the nearest letter. *puff puff puff* It's kind of adorable, really.
BlueFeather sneaks in, following behind the earthpony that rushes in to help Derpy. Her head cocks a little to one side, and her tail giving a little flick. She keeps tight to one wall, trying to keep out of sight, and looking for Fluttershy, course, shes so busy trying not to be seen that she might walk right past Fluttershy
Derpy sees what Fluttershy is doing and starts to mimic her. Soon, both of them are blowing on letters and other envelopes left and right. In the meantime, Lotus sighs and starts cleaning up the broken glass, while Aloe comes to mop up the spilled water.
Puff puff puff puff, puffpuffpuffpuff - pant, pant...thud. Fluttershy collapses onto the floor, wings spread around her, eyes woozy. Equestria's angel has fallen. "I...i-is it okay yet?"
This is when a tall, slender stallion enters the spa. He has a look about him of a pony who maybe spends a good amount of time on his looks and even more on his charm and maybe not enough on things that matter. This is none other than Verde and Picante's elder brother: Salsa Dancer. The sane one. He knew as soon as he saw a spa, it would be the place for him. He'd rather forget why he came to Ponyville and spend more time needing a pampering. After all, he spent maybe 3 hours without primping himself and already he can feel himself coming to tatters. Unfortunately he doesn't care to see a mess, and in a deep, romantic, Spanish accent, he speaks, "There was danger afoot here. Danger is a close friend of passion." Yes. He practices these lines.
Sun Feb 26 05:07:31 GMT 2012
BlueFeather blinks a little, hearing that puffing, yet, then again hearing that other noise, the sound of someone else entering. SHe lets out a soft little eeepp and bolts, to hide behind something, not wanting to be seen, specialy by some stranger.
Derpy is huffing exhaustedly, too. She looks with distress to Fluttershy, but before she can manage an answer, the newcomer enters. Derpy leaps to attention and faces him, her eyes wide and hair wild. The place is indeed a mess, but is being cleaned, providing plenty of cover for Bluefeather. "Is so my fault," the mailmare cries.
Fluttershy stretches a hoof across the floor. Colored liquids spilling from their bottles mix with the water and glass beneath her, creating a strange, oily rainbow sheen all around her body like a stained-glass window. "D-don't cry, Derpy," she whispers. The salsa pony's appearance breaks up Fluttershy's martrydom, though - "Um...h-hello. I'm really sorry, but...d-do you know how to dry paper in a hurry?" Blue is doing too good a job of hiding, it seems.
Salsa Dancer can't exactly say he's ever had to dry paper in a hurry, but he can get practical as the need arises. Besides, some fillies are in distress, and except in the case of his sisters, Salsa Dancer loves to save the day. "Never fear. Hang them up in the air of a room warmed by your beating heart." The stallion closes his eyes and... poses dramaatically and with no small amount of class. "Do not try it with an actual fire unless you want to singe your fur, however, just somewhere hot and dry." And... dance step dance step dance step. Pose! "*Love* the paper! *Feel* for the paper!"
Derpy stares at the stranger. She blinks. But she can't afford not to obey him. She can't! She seizes her bag and dashes into the hallway, and soon finds a hot, dry sauna. "In here!" she shouts to Fluttershy and the stranger. "Where shall hang? No hanging rack!" She hangs her head. "Already feel. Feel so badly."
BlueFeather pokes her head up, to get a looksee at whats going on, then ducks back down again, moving cloer to Fluttershy, her wings still held open al ittle, her head cocking a little to one side. Then she starts sneaking up closer to Fluttershy.
Of course, Dancer cannot resist a damsel in distress. So while Derpy is unfortunately left to fend for herself, the amorous dance instructor from Manehatten walks over to Fluttershy and holds out a hoof like a gentleman. "A beautiful filly such as yourself should not lie on the floor like that... alone."
Fluttershy blinks and stares at the hoof for a moment before accepting it. "Um...t-thank you. I, uh...I'm going to go and get som ehelp," she says, peeking into the dry saunce as she passes. "I'll be back soon. Please, um...take care?"
Derpy peeks back in from the hallway. "Helllo?" she says plaintively. "Can find a hanging rack? Or letter spread?" Tears are fresh on her cheeks. "Any way to dry?"
BlueFeather continues to hide, its probably a good bet that Derpy does not want her to help, shes better at getting things wet and dirty, and being a foal only exasperates the problem. Never mind that shes pretty dirty right at the momant
Female in tears? While Dancer is around? Never! He walks over to Derpy boldly, kisses her twice, once on each eye. Very boldly. "Fear not, for *I* ... Salsa Dancer, am with you!" The stallion strolls brusquely into the sauna and looks around for a good place to hang the letters. After a few minutes he moves with a purpose, looking for the nearest thing resembling a lamp.
Outlaw enters the spa, looking left and right. Presumably he is there to find somepony. He is shocked to find the spa in such a state and blinks, "Dang...what happened here? Looks like a tornado tore the place up. Everypony alright in here?"
Derpy is a little overbolded, truth be told. She blinkblinks. And leans back. "But..." She looks around at all the mail, scattered and some of it damaged. "But who is? And why for?" She goes to gather the letters she's planted, some of which are drying on the hot stones already. "Lampshade??"
BlueFeather expects that if Dusk wants, this would be a good time to get poor Blue cleaned up, no pegasi other than Derpy, who has managed to get in the 'not evil wing pony' catagory, the rest unicorns and earth ponys. Her head darts forward, and she snatches up a letter, before returning to her hiding spot, now if only she can figure out how to open the dang thing!
The letter Bluefeather happens to get her teeth on is a medium-sized blue envelope addressed to Junebug in large loopy scrawl.
Indeed, lampshades. The deep green stallion grabs several as he seems to raid the entire spa. He stacks them up carefully in the sauna, then takes what mail he can find and gently leans each one up on a lampshade, making sure to prop them up so they don't fall. Heroic dance instructor Manehattan pony! "I am Salsa Dancer, and I do not like to see beautiful mares in distress when they are *far* more delicious when happy."
Sun Feb 26 06:07:31 GMT 2012
Dusk is relaxing off in the steam, just watching the general going-ons, keeping out of the way of the crashing and messes. He watches Blue sneaking around, but seeing her trying to open some mail, he figures he best intervene. He slips up behind her quietly and leans his head in, "Who's name is on that, Little Lady?"
Outlaw recieves no reply and so shrugs, walking in further he begins to check the corners of the room, then turns to leave and smiles, nodding at Derpy in passing. Noticing Salsa Dancer doing his best to help her he nods approvingly and as he heads for the door mutters, "Good on you." to the other stallion as he passes him.
Derpy sees how Salsa intends to do it, and with a cry of glee sets about handling more pieces of mail the same way. She takes some in clumps and devotes some trips back and forth to single envelopes. Eventually, most of the mail makes its way into the sauna. But then she sees Outlaw. "Oh hello," she says, a bit scatterbrained. "I am lost all my mail! But maybe will have again. Water so enemy now!" She flaps her wings madly, a few droplets flying, and rushes back to work. Dusk and Bluefeather largely escape her notice, and she certainly doesn't notice Bluefeather's theft.
BlueFeather starts a little and jumps back against the wall, not realizing that Dusk had seen her, leaving the letter behind. She tilts her head a little to one side, then slips forward again to pick the letter up, before droping it at his feet before she makes a short string of sound at him. Well its not like she can pronounce the name in a way that would be understandable anyways.
The unicorn stallion eyes Outlaw a moment. Another stallion. He is fine with other stallions. He teaches many stallions. "I have done only what any good stallion should do in this situation and helped a beautiful mare." And... step step step... pose! Toss head back. Close eyes. Yes.
Dusk watches Derpy and The Dancer taking care of the mail, that's good. And he finally notices Outlaw as well. He must have been more stealthy than he realized. He tries giving a little wave, but seems to be on his way back out the door, for the moment. Hmm. He turns back to Blue and nods, paying attention to how she says the name, "Yes that's the name right there. What it says is Junebug. Juuune-bug." He points to the parts of the name.
BlueFeather tilts her head a little, looking up to Dusk, then giving a little flick of her wings, she chirps up, "Dune pug!" SHe then chuckles, and says it again the way she speaks, her wings giving a little flick. She then cocks her head, and climbs up enough to splash at the water in the tub
Outlaw pauses and gives the dancer an slightly strange look. "Okay...agreed. Still deserves recognition. Some stallions wouldn't do that. Just letting ya know I noticed partner." Then he smiles at Derpy and nods to her greeting with a wave, "It's good to see you again miss Derpy, and I meant to tell you thanks for lettin me stay with you for those first few days I was in Ponyville and at odds with my sister. Things have been patched up and now I got my own place outside of town." He glances over at Dusk and Bluefeather then and smirks, not bothering to interrupt his friend.
"Dune pug?" repeats Derpy anxiously. She looks over and notices the anklebiter holding a letter. One of ~her~ letters?! Derpy races over to deal with the situation..but then notices Outlaw. She stops in her tracks. "Unlaw!" she greets, surprised to see him. "How have been? Hve mis-sed! But now?!" She beats her wings, rising and flipping lightly over before landing. "Is emergence of sea!!"
Well, Salsa Dancer may end up having a differing opinion on sisters. He hasn't exactly been going out of his way for his sisters. Been too busy with the dance. He strolls about casually at this point, as if he is sizing up the situation now. How can he make himself look even *better* in this situation? "Never fear, darling. I... Salsa Dancer... have taken care of you and the letters!"
Dusk chuckles back and smiles, "Kinda close there, Little Blue. J-oooo-n Bah-g. Junebug. THat meeans that's who it belongs to, so only they should open or read it. That's how mail works." And seeing her climb up on to one of the private tubs works as well. He was going to have Blue bring the letter back, but sees Darpy coming, then not coming. But not wanting to miss the opertunity, he magic the letter back over to Derpy, "To restore the sea, Lady Derpy?" Then with that, he turns back to Blue, "And for you, Little Lady, time for a much needed bath there!"
BlueFeather does not generaly bite ankles, she tends to drown people in mud! As can probbly be told by how dirty the formerly clean water she was just touching is now. Her head cocks a little, and she gives a little flick of her tail, holding much more firmly apon the stolen letter, now its important not to let Derpy have it back! Of course, now shes totaly forgotten what Dusk had been trying to teach her too! Of course, any forcefull atempt to remove her from the letter, is probably going to result in the letter making it right into the tub she was poking at too. She blinks, her head cocking again, as Dusk distracts her, wich loosens her grip on the letter, "Bass?" SHe chirps up, her wings giving another little flick
Derpy is confused. She starts to derp, but shakes her head to stay focused. "Not sea! Save! So much correspond! May be lost! Maybe even ~job~ lost!" Derpy's limbs spasm outward, but she catches herself and lands on her feet. To Salsa Dancer she half smiles. "Thank you, thank you," she says sadly, giving him a light nuzzle on the neck. But the sight of the blue envelope in the apparent foal's mouth distrubs her. Like a bullet, Derpy rushes for the letter and attempts to grab it from Bluefeather!!
Sun Feb 26 07:07:31 GMT 2012
The spa's front door bursts open once again. Fluttershy returns triumphant! "Don't worry, everypony, I've got help!" Fluttershy dashes inside and up to Derpy, revealing...one of Rarity's blow-dryers and a heavy book. To flatten mail under? Sure, why not. "...um, Bluefeather, what are you doing?"
Now...Usually Outlaw only partially lives up to his name. He doesn't typically cause trouble, he normally only steals kisses, and now and then something valuable, but only when he /really/ wants it. But some chances are just too good to pass up. And as he watches the other ponies in the room something clicks in his mind, He looks at the filly with the letter precariously close to the water, he looks at Dusk who is trying to get the letter, He glances at the dancing stallion he doesn't know who is clearly too eager to please. And if he could have at that moment Outlaw would have sprouted devils horns. He sidles over to Salsa Dancer and clears his throat, "Hey bud...look over there. You wanna make a good impression on miss Derpy yeah? Saving that very important letter would definately get you in good with her..." And with that the fuse to the powderkeg has been lit.
One thing to remember about the Salsa family: Powderkeg is right. Between Verde's impressions on gnomes invading ponyville and Picante's delusion she ia dog, put Dancer in the same room as a filly of the right age, tell him he can be a hero, and you've got the same recipe for chaos minus the insane pony. Spying the envelope and the flly with the envelope, the spanish-accented stallion poses, trots over to the tub, and says to the filly. "Unhand the letter, in the name of the heart of the beautiful mailmare!" He gathered pretty easily Derpy delivers the mail judging by her predicament. Unfortunately, sane or not, Dancer still has the classic poor Salsa judgment in how to approach a problem.
Dusk is seeing all the difference peices falling into place as well.. Blue struggling with the letter, distracted on the edge of the tub, grip losening, literally leaving him holding the letter.. Derpy racing at breakneck speed, Fluttershy bursting into the middle of things, and Outlaw throwing his own gears into palce, Dancer swinging right into the path of it all. He grabs Blue with one arm, throws the letter up into the air with the other, and jumps into the water together with Blue, all in one smooth motion.
BlueFeather Grabs for the letter again, not willing to alow someone whos going to say nonsense at her in a mean tone have anything at all, if she can at all help it! The fact that Dusk is taking every advantage of her distraction to pounce her, for a change, and force her into the warm soapy water, well, she just has to protest, both loudly, and as violently as she can! Wich means a loud yell, and her flailing around wildly, her wings buzzing, as she gets dunked, course, that does mean she generates a nice fountian of warm soapy water, that splashes all around her.
Derpy is trying to get to the letter, anyhow! But too many different ponies are involved now, and she misjudges which way it's flying! As much as Derpy would love to grab the thing out of midair and land gracefully on the other side of the tub...well, she's called Derpy Hooves for a reason. She ends up banging into Salsa and bouncing off his shoulder into the fountain of warm soapy water, kerSPLOOSH! "NooOOOOOOo!" wails Derpy before her voice is subsumed by bubbles.
Fluttershy tears the blow-dryer out of her saddlebag, raises it in her mouth, and pulls the trigger...just in time for a fresh torrent of water to come roaring toward her. No, um, thank you, please, she already had a spa bath once tod- sploosh. The blow-dryer shorts out with a sickening crackle, leaving just enough time for Fluttershy to drop it. "...oops. I'm so sorry, Rarity," she says, to a pony who isn't actually present.
Outlaw standing a nice distance away calmly extends a large wing, catching the letter on the tip of it and then retracting it, taking the letter in his mouth he steps back from the wild melee. Leaning against the doorjab coolly he crosses his hooves and waits for things to settle down, ready to present Derpy with the rescued letter.
At the time Derpy had been bouncing off of him, Salsa had been busily trying to climb over the edge of the tub to claim the letter. Due to mailmare collission he ends up joining Dusk and Bluefeather into the bath. So much for the dashing rescue.
Dusk keeps a good hold on Blue, even as she struggles in the soapy water, to make sure to both keep her out of the path of flying/crashing ponies, and keeping her head above water after the sudden but brief dunk, and now the other ponies falling into the tub as well, moving Blue and himself to a safe spot at the far end of the tub. If Outlaw were to look however, the letter Dusk had tossed into the air wasn't the same one from before.
BlueFeather becomes even more upset when the stranger stallion trys to join her and Dusk in the bath, and she starts flailing at him with her forelegs, her wings still buzzing. Its probably a good thing that Dusk has such a good hold on her, or she might be giving actual injury to Sulsa. She yells out, "Bad dirt pony! Get out! Get out!" Fairly loudly, her mane and everything else wet and messy, with stucks and leaves and such still stuck in her mane
Derpy burble gurgle blurgle. . o O . 0 .
Fluttershy places the burnt-out hair dryer gently out of harm's way, where nopony can accidentalyl drop it in the bath or slip on it. With that and her book-laden saddlebag set aside - thank the Princesses that's waterproof - she sidles over to the bath. "Um," she asks, still dripping, "...i-is everypony okay?"
Outlaw turns the letter over in his hooves as he watches all that goes on, all the while wearing an expression that is perhaps disturbingly close to the sort Discord was known to sport when in the midst of some amusing prank. Then he glances at the lettering and frowns, looking around for the real letter. Never the less he tucks the decoy under his right wing for safekeeping. "Hmmmm...."
Salsa Dancer flails and splishes and splashes in the tub, then backs away as fast as he can when he sees the little filly trying to kill him with a tiny "eep!" Well, tonight is not getting to be his sort of night. He may be trying to be a hero, but he did just come for a spa treatment and got more than he bargained for. She starts looking around frantically in the water for the letter.
Dusk is indeed still holding Blue, and can't seem to help chuckling some as she goes after Salsa, even though he knows he shouldn't. "It's okay, we can let him get out then!" At the same time, seeing that Dancer isn't goingn to save Derpy as e expected, he magically helps hoist Derpy up to the surface. The letter Outlaw has is just a blank, similar envelope. He had swapped it as the odds of it surviving to the point of Outlaw getting it was pretty slim, not that he didn't want him to get it. The real one sits safely against one of the dry lampshades with the others.
Sun Feb 26 08:07:31 GMT 2012
BlueFeather is not the nicest little pony around, its not that shes a bad pony, its that she is very easy to freak out, and when she panics, she will use violance, if she can't run. She can't run right now, so she lashes out, as hard as she can , but now that the stranger is backing away, and trying to get away, she calms down, fairly quickly. Dusk can probably feel her shivering a little withen the gripo of his forelegs
"Oh, not again. I'm so sorry, Mister...Salsa, was it? Sorry, I-I'm bad with names sometimes." (She isn't, really.) "H-here, let me get everything sorted out." Fluttershy offers a hoof to one pony at a time, attempting to extract the crowd from the tub. Lotus and Aloe are probably glaring from somewhere, she just knows it.
They are. And they're bickering about whether the tub needs to be cleaned for bits of glass and whether to close the spa and how much to charge for the mess.
Derpy allows Dusk and Fluttershy to pull her up, gasping. She opens her mouth to speak or perhaps to scream, and a giant bubble with lots of smaller bubbles inside it comes out.
Outlaw stands seeing how badly Derpy is struggling, he feels a bit bad that his little joke got so out of hoof. With a flick of his wing he sends the decoy letter flying away. Stepping up beside Fluttershy he helps as well, hoping that Blue does not freak out on him he reaches in to Help the others out, First Derpy, then Salsa, then he grabs a few towels from a rack not far away and places one on Fluttershy as well as Derpy and the dancing pony. Once that is done he looks towards Dusk and nods with a half smile, "You two wanting out also?" He asks as he walks over to pick up the salvaged letter. Just in case Derpy is feeling down he waves it in the air, "Miss Derpy? The letter was saved."
Dusk smiles, more gently holding Blue now as she realxes. At least the water is quite warm and soothing, so should help her feel better. And all the spashing and thrashing has already gone a good way to clearn her. Though it's that last 20% that is hardest. He makes sure the others get out safely too, though impressed by Derpy's bubbles. But then that is her cutie mark. He smiles, "Why thank you, Mr. Outlaw," as he's offered a hoof, "though actually, we're right where we needed to be. If you could, be sure to let Lady Derpy know the letter is there with the others. And maybe pass the shampoo and soap down this way in the meantime!"
BlueFeather cocks her head a little and squirms, struggling to get free now that shes been wanted to actualy get clean, but shes a bit worn out, because of all the stuff thats happened earlyer, her wings at lest are not buzzing up water all over finnaly.
Derpy slowly climbs free of the water at last and chakes herself thoroughly...again. She sniffles. She looks at everypony else, and looks around, and sees the last few letters sitting here and there...and sighs a deep, piercing sigh reminiscent of a rainforest bird's territorial challenge call. But Outlaw and Dusk's words are reassuring. She gives them both grateful looks, and then strides over to investigate. "Where is Junebug letter?" she asks by way of needing confirmation.
Dusk smiles, seeing Derpy's exepression improve some as she overhears Outlaw and him. "Right against the lampshade with the other dried letters, Lady Derpy." He reaches out, pointing to where it is at. The blue envelope sticks out nicely. He thanks Outlaw for the cleaning items, and grins at the somewhat tuckered Blue, "Now this isn't going to hurt you at all, and might even like it, who knows!" He's seen less likely things tonight.
BlueFeather tilts her head and looks up at Dusk, a little chirp coming from her, and squirming al ittle, though not very hard, its less that she wants to excape at this point, than that shes just trying to figure out whats happening, after all, its been a good 5 years plus sense shes had a real bath

Fluttershy sighs, flopping her haunches down against the side of the pool. "I'm glad *that's* taken care of," she mumbles, letting her hair drip dry for the umpteentrillionth time today. It's going to be so frizzy...oh well. "So what exactly *happened* while I was gone, anyway?"
Derpy doesn't question the letter being there against the lampshades. She doesn't know what it went through. She simply bounds toward it as if she were greeting a long-lost child. Which isn't surprising, since Derpy's daughter ~is~ lost...or at least, Derpy hasn't seen her in a week. She crouches before the letter to Junebug and peers at it, smiling and studying it. And she cries a stream of salty tears.
Dusk smiles at little Blue, and starts putting some shampoo in her mane, which starts sudsing up and making bubbles. "It's a bath, Little Lady. To clean off all the dirt you get on you from running around outside and getting into things. Your coat will be very nice and comfortable. And Lady Fluttershy, if you wish to help, before you dry off, please do. There is plenty to get clean!" He glances over too, seeing Derpy look so happy the letter is safe and sound.
BlueFeather continues to squirm a little, though again, not all that much, it does not help that she is a foal now, theres only so much struggling she can do, her wings giving a little flick now and again as she splashes Dusk with the soapy water, as well as Fluttershy.
Fluttershy nods wearily, but with a shake off her tail, she picks up her hooves and hop, skips, and jumps back into action. THere's never time to rest when you've hungry animals to take care of! Or...messy ponies, as the case may be. She returns with some towels and a nearly sun-shattering number of 'sorries' dispensed to the poor spa ponies, backing into the room from the lobby still bowing her head. Hopefully that'll be enough to pay off the damage. Then she hands out the towels and uses her own to...clean up the floor.
Derpy finishes gathering up the letters and stores the rest in the sauna...against lampshades and screens and fans and anything else similar she can find. And she warmly thanks Dusk and Fluttershy and stares a while at Bluefeather without saying anything.
Dusk smiles back to Derpy, "And I am glad to see all is safe and sound again. Won't have to worry about your job at all." He thanks Fluttershy for all her helps too. If she wants to clean Blue some too, she is welcome. He rinses some of the soap of of her mane, whichis now much more flowing and smooth, even all wet.
BlueFeather expects the water is taking on quite a dirty colour and texture. She was not very clean to begin with, and with a real bath, well, you can posably emagine how bad it gets. Still, she does not struggle too much, cause it does bring good memories, though sad ones too.
Derpy looks back at Dusk doubtfully. "Thinking so? But what if ruiined?!" She points to the letters, which are drying, yes, but wrinkled and smudged. Her bag was only halfwaterproof--good thing she wasn't wearing it anymore when she fell into the tub the second time. "What if complaain?" She falls back to blowing on the poor letters like a gardener tending to a garden.
Fluttershy brushes Bluefeather down, styling out her mane into...well, she looks sort of like Fluttershy now, frankly. It's an odd look. "Um...I'm not sure about that one," remarks Fluttershy. She also returns Derpy's hug, with a, "I'm sure they'll understand, Derpy Hooves..."
Dusk hmms and nods... "Junebug will be happy?" He supposes the saving of the one letter doesn't help the rest very much. "We still have the books Fluttershy brought to press them.. Once they dry out too. Sorry I wasn't able to help with more of them. I'd be glad to try some magic if might help." He does look at the work Fluttershy is doing with that mane, and has to admit he's impressed. He's glad she's helping out. He works on washing out and rinsing the rest of her coat. Yes, once they get out, will have to give a clean water rinse to finish.
BlueFeather still squirms around, splashing the water at both Fluttershy and Dusk, but, shes also starting to get a bit cranky, and complains about it with her squirming and wiggling around. She actualy has no clue whats being done to her mane, after all, shes not touched it in years and years, still, it does feel good not to ich so much, maybe in a couple years she will have another bath!
Derpy returns Fluttershy's hug, still worried, and gives Dusk a longing look. "Ppleeeease magic?!" She turns back to Fluttershy. "Pleeease bookpress? Cannot lose job. Too much owement!"

Fluttershy pulls a book out of her saddlebag, which, at least while closed, *is* mostly liquid-proof. It's actually one of the big, heavy encyclopaedae Twilight likes to keep around. "Here. Will this work?"
Dusk grins as Blue squirms. With Fluttershy's help he does get her and himself out the water, and gives her a last good rinsing. He dries himself off and lets her work on Blue, after which he takes the book, "Ah yes, this looks quite good." He turns back to Derpy and bows his head and smiles, "For you, My Lady Derpy, more than gladly." He gives her the book, and helps her pick out letters that look like they just need a good flattening, showing her how to put them inside the book to press them.. He looks for others that might show any signs of damage or smearing, and carefully magics them one at a time, to be sure not to cause any other troubles.
The afternoon passes by, Ponyville's mail being gradually saved one or two pieces at a time, the friends laughing and passing the time in a mutually caring (and warm) environment. Derpy sobs a few times, but she gives hugs and keep working hard, and eventually the mail is all sorted out and it turns out nothing was completely ruined, and most of the letters only suffered minor damage unlikely to cause a problem.
BlueFeather tilts her head a little, and finnaly ends up just standing there as Fluttershy grooms her, looking all putout, her tail giving a little twitch as Fluttershy brushes her mane, wich is a bit overlong all things considered. She might be complaining a bit, but its more because the fussing makes her uncomfortable
By the time Fluttershy is finished, Bluefeather has montaged neatly through all of her close friends' personal styles - Twilight's haircut might fit her personal interests, and Rainbow's her character, and Derpy's her speech patterns, but none of them seems to fit her *completely*. The truth is, it's probably just a little strange seeing Bluefeather *clean* for a change. Finally, Fluttershy just leaves Blue with a simple combed-out mane...although it sort of seems to insist on returning to partial messiness. Well, you can't expect miracles from just one bath.
Dusk actually, dispite all the hyjinx and all the work, he actually finds he quite enjoys all the time spent with his freinds, and glad he could help with the mail, and with getting Blue cleaned up. Maybe not so much a help for the spy. Will probably get the bill, seeing Outlaw and Dancer have conveniently slipped off early. But really, it was all worth it. Especially as the mail seems to be largely in tact, which is the main relief. And indeed, a clean BlueFeather is quite a site.. "So who is this little foal? And where'd Blue go?" He looks around for her.
Derpy finally goes off to negotiate with Aloe and Lotus. Speaking of bills. Sadly, Derpy's paycheck is going to take yet another cut. But she's relieved that it wasn't worse...and she dearly thanks Dusk for his assistance. As for Bluefeather...Derpy is still reserving judgment on that one. Something seems odd about her.
BlueFeather gives herself a shake, her tail flicking, her wings spreading. Then her head cocks and she starts grooming her wing feathers, seeming quite taken up with that task. She is, quite clueless about things like mane styles, after all, before her mane was just something there that got stuck in things now and again, and really about the same with her tail. She might, eventualy, want to go with a shorter mane, but, shes likely to leave it as Fluttershy sets it for the next few years at lest. She gives a bit of a shake, then sticks her tongue out at Dusk, befroe she leans against Fluttershy
Fluttershy looks back and forth between her three friends. "S-so, um..." She just sort of trails off. There's obviously more than a little tension in the air now, and Fluttershy can't really blame anypony in particular for that, partly because she's Fluttershy, but also because Bluefeather *is* sort of a handful, and Derpy is so sensitive. "Um?"
Dusk smiles to Derpy, "It was my pleasure." He chuckles at Blue himself, as she sticks his tongue out. He gives her a playful nuzzle, noticing how nice and fresh she smells too. And really, she does look a lot different. Certainly closer to what her old pictures might have looked like. He magics over one of the mirrors, careful not to break it, and let's Blue look. He smiles over to Fluttershy, as she tries coming up with something to say.. "She's quite a stylist, for what we can do here."
Tension, yes, but Derpy is used to that. She noses Dusk one last time, smiles crookedly at Bluefeather, and lugs her newly dried mail away. She's well behind in her delivery and will have to work long into the night. Good thing she doesn't have a lonely, hungry foal at home waiting for her. Not tonight, anyhow.
BlueFeather dpoes not really seem to care too much for the mirror, she pokes it with a hoof, then cocks her head a little and looks up at Dusk and Fluttershy, a little inquisitive noise coming from her. Then she looks at the mirror again, before she lets out a soft snort at it. She then looks at Derpy, and sticks her tongue out at Derpy too
Dusk noses back, and gives Derpy a hug too before she goes, "Good night, and safe travel, Lady Derpy!." He smiles and sees her off to the door after the others get their chance to say good night. He has to stifle a little yawn of his own, "Perhaps time to get some rest of our own."
"Goodbye, Derpy. Um...good luck." Fluttershy isn't sure what else she can say. Instead, she consoles herself with consoling Bluefeather. And... "Is everypony okay? Please be more careful. Um...Derpy is very sensitive, like you, Bluefeather. You have to treat her gently." She starts to fiddle with her own mane, now that's it's partly dry.

Dusk nods to Fluttershy, "I'm pretty well too, thanks. But yeah that was.. something. Sorry you got all wet there!" He smiles, rubbing up against Blue from the other side.
BlueFeather yawns hugely and gives herself a bit of a shake and nuzzles the both of you gently. SHe then cocks her head, before chirping up, "Home?" She asks softly, it has been a very stressfull day for the little foal.
Fluttershy nods. "Home." She gathers up all her books and the remains of the Brave Little Blow Dryer - so, so brave, Fluttershy is so sorry - and turns to Dusk and Bluefeather. "Ready/"
Dusk nods, gathering up any last items about the spyspa and making sure the place is back as in best order as we can. "Ready here too, yes!" He smiles, and walks with the two of you back to Fluttershy's. Though he makes extra careful to keep her out of mud, explaining to Blue the dirtier she gets, the sooner her next bath will be.
BlueFeather bobs her head and flicks her wings open, then gives a slow little flick of them before folding them, and standing on her hind hooves, lifting her forelegs to Fluttershy
Fluttershy blinkblinks. Her lower lip quivers, and her heart threatens to melt out through her hooves! She gets down on her foreknees and smiles. "Go ahead and climb up."
Dusk aawwwww and and smiles warmly at that too. And keeps her cleaner. He walks with them, and sees Blue gets tucked in with some nice fresh hay and such. "Good night, Dear." He leans in and gives kiss on the head.
BlueFeather climbs up on Fluttershy's back and wraps her forelegs aroubnd Fluttershy's neck, her wings giving a little flick, faning slowly to help the feathers dry. Just wait tell she uses the puppydog eyes on you! With the quivering lower lip and everything
