"Biiiig Mac! Sweet heart! Yoo hoooo!" A sweet, and almost musical voice trickles along the farm from towards the fence at the edge of the property. Ahh, Rarity is standing there, wearing of course, one of her favorite overly large sunhats, which nearly drapes over her entire head- blocking most of her indigo hair from being seen. She draws a bright and cheerful grin across her muzzle, and raises up onto her hing legs, waving a fore leg like she were waving towards a ship departing at sea.
Big_Mac, in typical fashion is out in the fields hauling back barrels of apples when a familiar voice rings melodically across the orchard, namely, singing his voice, as it were and causing him to pause a moment to find the source. However given the voice is fairly familiar, it's not really required. A smile forms across the big draft's muzzle and he too raises to wave a hoof back to the fair filly, almost losing his barrel on his back in the process, but recovers by making it look like a deliberate setting the barrel back on the ground before clopping toward the fence where the mare waits, his long stride slow and methodic. "H'lo" he says with a smile, and another tip of his head in greeting, looking a touch shy.
Rarity smiles her practiced, perfected flirty smile-the one where she shows all of her teeth, bright and sparkling- and dips her head in an acknowledged nod towards the huge, handsome hunk of a stallion. BUT, miss Rarity has other things about her mind today that the grade A beef before her. "Darling, it JUST occurred to me, that since I am making Applejack and outfit for her competition at the Rodeo, I was wondering if you would be competing as well!
Big_Mac's lips curl into his own toothy, yet much less elegant smile, apparently somewhat infectious from Rarity's lovely example. He's normally not as shy around AppleJack's friends, but there is a little something that makes the big draft stallion fluster a little, especially one on one with the mare before him. Shifting a hoof up onto the fence, he leans a little upon it, causing the beam to creak a little and hinting at the drafts weight. His expression shifts to slight confusion as the conversation begins with the mention of an outfit for AppleJack, not quite understanding how it involves him, until the fashion mare elaborates further. "Ehh, wasn' plannin to... tha's more AJ's department." he chuckles "b'sides, 'wouldn' wanna steel AJ's thunder." he adds with a curt nod of his head. "why y' ask?"
Rarity nods her head. "Well, I was under the impression that all of the Apples were going to be involved somehow. It wouldn't be fair for me to make an outfit for Applejack, and nothing for you, sweetheart. "She explains quietly, leaning eeeever so slightly towards the fence, so her perfume can drift casually across Big Mac's nose. "Even if you were just selling your wares at the grounds, I could whip something up for you. "She explains with a husky, almost sly sort of grin creeping about her features. "...Would have to take some new measurements, though." She adds as an aside, almost like an after thought.
Big_Mac smiles, though flushes sheepishly at the offer. Granted, the only way one can really tell the draft stallion is blushing is because his ears fold back against his head a little. He visibly fidgets a little and stammers "Ah.. oh.. um..." for a moment before nodding "Ah see... Ah s'ppose I might try some of the pulls, but nothin' fancy like ol' AJ." he chuckles a little in afterthought and looks down at himself a moment, if anything to break gaze for a moment to regroup from the keen gaze of the mare across the fence, especially as that whiff of her perfume drifts across his way, scenting the air pleasntly. "Tha'd be very... uh.. kind of 'yeh, Miss Rarity..." he chuckles a bit nervously. "Ah'm not sure ah'd need somethin.. fancy?" he asks, sounding quite nervous now. If they could, his cheeks would flush brighter than just the offer as the mention of measurements are made. While not outright refusing the gracious offer, his shyness leaves him to wait for the offer to be insisted before committing entirely.
Rarity nods her head quietly, thoughtfully, and purses her lips. "Mmmmm, I've learned my lesson from the LAST time I tried to design a dress for your sister. Don't worry darling, I'll make sure to keep it ..erm, not very fancy. In fact, when I'm done with you, you might not even be wearing anything a'tall. "She says, giving the big brown pulling collar the stallion wears a little jerking tug with a grasp of her magic. She gives another one of those musical giggles of hers and turns sharply on her heels, with a tick-tocking sway of her hindquarters, dancing her spiral tail back and forth as she meanders away. "I'll get right to work on it, sweetheart. I guarantee that when I'm finished with you, you'll feel a brand, new, stallion."She purrs cheerfully.
Striding towards the Apple home is Pumpkin Seed, sauntering with his usual confident stride. He has his cowboy hat tilted to one side and his bright red bandana about his strong neck. As he spies the beautiful dress maker and his best friend, his brows raise upwards some with a grin spreading across his orange muzzle. Once the rust colored pony joins them, he clears his throat slightly as he catches the end of Rarity's statement. "Well now.." He rumbles in his thick accent. "Maybe ah' shoulda stayed home. Didn't know you was out onna date Big Mac."
Big_Mac chuckles lightly and nods to Rarity upon the mention of learning her lesson when it comes to dressing the Apple Family members and reaches a hoof up a little to ruffle it through his mane a little awkwardly, if anything to distract himself from the rather lovely mare across the way from him. His muzzle flushes bright enough that it can almost be seen through his red coat at the suggestion that he'd not be wearing much at all, let alone the magical tug upon his pulling collar, causing him almost to bring that hoof down and cling to it, showing he's perhaps a bit /too/ attached to the garment, or, perhaps the context in which it's being tugged upon "Ah... um.... thank'yeh, Miss Rarity, tha's a might kind of you..." he says after a moment of stammering, unable to think of anything else to say. He never was quite the witty sort. He lets out a bit of a relieved sigh as she begins to turn, seeming content with his answer until Pumpkin Seed turns up and naturally has to throw his two cents in as he comes up the lane, Mac's attention turning to the other stallion and blurts out "NO! ah'course not.. Miss Rarity here was jus' uh... askin' me 'bout the Rodeo..." he says, nodding with satisfaction. Afterall, that's all it was... right?
Rarity smiles warmly. "Well don't mind me, if you two have something to talk about. "The plucky fashion mare squeaks, and off she goes- trotting down the road with a curt nod towards Pumpkin_Seed
