Attention, everybody,
As of 9:00 PM CST, on March 2, 2013, the EquestriaMUCK staff unanimously decided to permanently ban the player of the character 'Coder' from the MUCK. Our reasons are fourfold:
1) He has clearly and unabashedly verbally harassed other players, including an underage player.
2) He has demonstrated a worsening pattern of behavior over time.
3) He has shown no sign of ever acknowledging his mistakes or changing his ways.
4) He is a danger to the MUCK and to many of the MUCK's players.
The MUCK Wizstaff has met with the player on several occasions throughout the past month in an attempt to try to help the player change his ways and better connect with the rest of the MUCK. However, we feel that he has made no attempt on his part to take responsibility for his actions or to try and adjust his behavior to make it more acceptable.
I would like to note that this decision was not made lightly, nor was it done without due process. However, the staff and I all believe that a permanent ban was, when considering all the circumstances surrounding the player, the only truly viable choice to protect the MUCK and its players from such behavior. We are a staff that values patience, understanding, and forgiveness. If you have any questions about the decision or the circumstances, please contact me, EconomistBrony. I will be happy to answer them.
I would also like to make it clear that I, EconomistBrony, have an 'Open Door' policy at all times. Do not ever hesitate to contact me, via MUCKMail, page or 'in-person' on the MUCK, for any reason. Do not think that you have to have a formal complaint to talk to me - I am always more than happy to talk about anything, whether it's serious, silly, or even if you just want to shoot the breeze. In particular, though, I would like to know when a player is acting inappropriately. It is only by contacting me that I can know whether such behavior by that player is widespread or localized.
