Hey guys!
Rudolph has been chosen as this year's Hearth's Warming play and will take place next weekend (20-22nd December.) Since that's super soon, we need to cast our leads for the play and make you aware of the story we're going with, so IC auditions and OOC arrangements will take place this weekend, today and tomorrow, by myself, Derpy, Bardigan and anypony else willing to help. The full story we came up with for the play is this, which all of you can interpret as much as you like:
Santa's reindeer are arguably the most important part of Hearth's Warming - they spend every Hearth's Warming Eve flying tirelessly across the earth delivering presents, along with Santa and the little dragons (we thought elves wouldn't work in Equestria XD) who create and package the gifts. They're important... except for one. Rudolph is different - he has a red nose, and doesn't have the magic flying skill of all the other reindeer. He's stuck to helping the baby dragons in their line of work, along with his dragon companion Blaze. But this Hearth's Warming, things are different - on the night before the presents are due to be delivered, all the reindeer lose their powers. Hearth's Warming could fall apart if the presents aren't delivered - but everypony is curious and slightly horrified when Santa calls no one other than Rudolph to save the entire thing. Rudolph tries a number of methods, all of which end in disaster, and the other reindeer turn to their usual scorning and laughing at first. When it looks like Hearth's Warming is lost forever, Rudolph urges the others to co-operate... and things begin to turn around. The reindeer try to get themselves off the ground together - and this time it works, not through a manual method or some mechanical way of flight, but because of the friendship they build with Rudolph as they go along. The reindeer realise that the only reason they lost their powers in the first place was because they were cruel to Rudolph - if friendship is magic, why should magic have any place where there is no friendship? The reindeer save Hearth's Warming together, Rudolph learns to fly, and gets the leading spot on the sleigh.
