This was a fun scene I had with Sunbeam and Bardigan. It's kind of short but it was very entertaining.

Skyheart is at his usual place. He rests under a tree, again, without his bird, Orpheus. He seems content...ish. He's not distrubed, but perhaps a bit down. he's been doign a lot of thinking lately.
Sunbeam sets down a bucket she was carrying, nosing into it. "Now now little ones, we're almost there."
Skyheart glances over to a mare who appears to be talking to a bucket. Based on her voice there must be something in it. He just watches silently for now, keeping to himself.
Sunbeam lifts her head, smiles with that closed eye look, and flicks her wings. "That's better." then picks the bucket up by the handle again.
"Why thank you Davenport! Your quills are the finest in Equestria!" Bardigan exclaims as he backs out of Sofas and Quills, his saddlebags fit to bursting with all new writing implements. Just think of all the anthologies he'll write with this! But before he can take two steps, another strange sight catches his eye. "Sunbeam?" he asks, peering at her bucket. "Did you spill something?"
Skyheart again goes back to watching. He has little to do at the moment. He sees Bardigan has taken to her attention so perhaps this might be interesting to watch.
Sunbeam sets her bucket down. "Oh, hello Mister Bardigan. No, I didn't spill anything...I was moving this bucket of bees to a flower garden area over by Sunflower's place. They like the early morning sun and it was getting to shaded by the creek."
"Bees?! In a bucket?" Bardigan says, looking more incredulous than frightened. He walks forward with little smile, apparently disbelieving her. "This I have to see," he mutters while trying to get a good look at said bucket. There can't be more than one or two in there, right?
Skyheart can't help but have a sense of impending doom as Bardigan is apparently putting his FACE in a bucket full of BEES!
Sunbeam smiles and shakes her head. "Oh no, I have all four hundred and seven that wanted to move. We didn't want to startle anyhpony so they agreed to line up in neat little rows and stacks inside my bucket." looking down as all the bees look up at Baradigan. "They make the best wax for my candles."
"Oh, come now Sunbeam, there's no way you can fit more than a... couple... doz-ah-aaaaAAAAHHH!" Bardigan trails off with a panicked squeal as a mighty legion of bees all look right. At. Him. He's never been stared down by bees before, but there's a first time for everything! And as luck would have it, one of his hooves happens to strike the bucket as he wildly flails in a general backwards direction. Whatever gets him away from four hundred startled bees who all know exactly who just whacked their cozy bucket works best.
Sunbeam says "Oh! Do be careful Mister Bardigan....oh my." hovering up as the bees swarm around Bardigan, making him look like he was in his own personal cloud of buzzing upsettedness. She tils forward to upright the bucket, and gently wing sweeps bees into the bucket. "Now now Darren, he didn't mean it. Come on Thomas, we're almost there...yes, I know what he said, but it wasn't an insult to your efficient standing in rows in the bucket...honest."
Skyheart gasps a bit as Bardigan has now become a target for angry bees. While the beekeeper seems to be trying to get them back into the bucket, he sighs and decides this might need a little extra help. He laments his future fate and slips off his saddlebags, taking flight. He starts to flap the bees away from Bardigan as best he can. Granted his best isn't very good. He's already tiring out.
There's a moment of horrifying, dawning comprehension as Bardigan is set upon by a cloud of *noise.* It takes a few seconds for him to realize he's surrounded. "... BEEEEEES!!!" Bardigan shouts at the top of his lungs, winging his hooves wildly as he shoots straight up, hurtling through the town with more than a few stray bees on his tail, flapping his wings as hard as he can. Darren and Thomas are taken care of, but that still leaves about two hundred ninety-four of their close friends.
Sunbeam meeps quietly as Bardigan shoots vertically. She looks up and sighs, "Oh, bees, stop frightening Bardigan....please?" she asks, then sighs. looking into the bucket. "Ok, General, time to get them back...they are scaring my friend." as a larger bee resembling a yellow jacket flies up and lands on her nose, then lifts a small brass horn and plays a short tune. The bees all pause, then race back to Sunbeam, lined up in hovering squadrons, perfectly forming seven squares of ten bees in a line, ten rows deep. Six others are with the general, the odd seven. "Ok now, just like before, ten bees to a stack, ten across and ten deep, the tired ones can be up top to rest."
Bardigan points his nose straight up and dives into the nearest cloud amidst a small group of them. The bees swarm angrily, apparently confounded by his hiding place. Bardigan's disguise is perfect, save for his tail sticking out the back. He doesn't even twitch, listening for the noise of the awful army just outside to stop laying siege to his cloud bunker. He's not coming out until every last bee is accounted for!
Skyheart watches as the bees halt and zoom back to the bucket in formation. He blinks and approahces Sunbeam, landing softly next to her. "That's... Actually pretty impressive." he commenst. "Bardigan! Get back out here! It's safe!" He hopes the stinging was minimal.
Sunbeam is wingtip counting the bees, as are two of the officer bees, then one of them buzzes at Sunbeam and she meeps, looking up. "Luscious!" as the one overly eager bee is the one still sirling around Bardigan like a electron around it's nucleus. When that one stops, a large rounder bee is seen, one that lazily and begrudingly leaves Bardigan in his cloud. "That was mean Luscious....I'd make you say you're sorry but I don't think he would understand you. Now, please get in line with the other bees and we'll restart the rollc all."
Bardigan remains stuck up in his cloud, tail stuck out the back like a limp one-armed propellor. Once the infernal buzzing stops, a feather and two eyes poke out the front of the cloud, peering downwards. He sees you down there, bees. He's not going to come down until he knows everything is squared away in the bee barracks and they all have proper marching orders!
Sunbeam is smiling and nodding to each bee as they line up and stack themselves into the bucket, giving a wing salute to the General as the overly large round bee lumbers into line and drops into the bucket with a thunk, making sunbeam wince. "Oh, I'm sorry about that." looking up to bardigan's cloud. "Luscious is a rather enthusiastic bee. He means well." wing patting the rotund bee on the head gently. "Ok, everybee accounted for sir." she smiles to the general, who buzzes down into the bucket as well. Taking a suchy top position. "Rank has its perks."
Sugar_Rush finally does bump into someone. He bumps into Skyheart. "Erk! Oh! Sorry about that..." He looks understandably embarrassed. "Are you alright?"
Skyheart nods. "I'm fine. Just... watching this." He peers over by Sunbeam. "How do you get those bees to listen to you like that?"
Bardigan sloooowly begins to drift down, fluttering closer from within the confines of his cloud. When at least he reaches the ground, his head and legs pop out as well. He looks, for all the world, like a winged sheep. "Are... are they gone?" he asks, peering at the bucket. He's standing a good ten feet away. "They're all inside again?" He speaks in a low whisper that is only barely audible and completely incomprehensible from where he's standing, so he's really just whispering to himself.
Sunbeam says "They are back in the bucket, yes." nodding to Bardigan, looking over to her questioner. "Oh, they know me...I've been gathering wax from their hives since I was a filly. That's about eleven generations to bees. I knew the General's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandsire." smiling. "Bees are very nice and if you ask politely you can trade for the best honey and wax in Equestria."
