Is time to clean up grid! Players come and players go, and over time exits build up to rooms that no one uses anymore and whose owners have not connected in many month or year.
However, sometimes those owners have alts or have reason to think they may return to the MUCK someday. Maybe some of you know the people who created the rooms and suspect they may yet be useful. Or maybe you use them even though their owners are gone.
I am proposing to disconnect the following rooms from the map, and to delete them if their owners don't return in six months:
Midnight Tides' Realm [Midnight_Tides] Twelve Oats Farm [Barley_Rigs] Winter's Chills [Winter_Chill] Inn of the Dancing Dragons [Shadow_Mane] Mender's Home [Mender] Maroon's Workshop [Maroon] Old Black Forest Bakery [Black_Forest] Quicksilver's Home [Quicksilver]
Are there any objections? And does anyone know anything about the fate of these departed players?

Ah dunno, but it might be a good idea ta keep th' Inn. Far's Ah know, Ponyville ain't got another hotel established, an' that's cropped up at least briefly in a few folks' arrival scenes.

Are the room properties (descs, connections, etc) going to be saved somewhere, in the off chance the owners return?

I would echo Applejack, keep the Inn, not really any place like it in Ponyville.

I would agree on keeping the Dancing Dragons Inn. I was RPing there with Mirage, Nimble, Haunting, and Red just a few days ago even.
As for the rooms, they could be unlinked from the grid and to a private archive room, if Derpy wants to keep them for a while before actually deleting them.
And I believe Mirage likes her place as it is. :-)

I'm okay with keeping the inn. I kind of feel like Ponyville shouldn't have an inn, since there's noplace depicted for travelers to stay in the show, which lets it retain a smalltown feel where you have to find someone to stay with if you want to visit. But I'll yield to the will of the players. And yes, all I'll do for now is unlink the other rooms from the grid.

I actually agree with you, Derpy. Part of Ponyville is that it /doesn't/ have an inn. It's a small town, and it encourages travelers to find a generous pony to give them a couch or guest bed for the night.
...that and I have never, never seen anyone use the inn.
If the in /has to/ be kept, I highly suggest that it be gutted down to one room. It's got a multitude of rooms in it, and those can (and should) just be spoofed.

Don't reckon it was ever established whether or not there *is* an inn canonic'ly. There's a lotta ponies, they pretty well all got jobs, but we don't know what businesses are there other'n th' market, SAA, an' Sofas an' Quills. Way Ah see it, even yer real small towns usually got a bed an' breakfast or a tiny motel. It's a little inn, not th' Las Pegasus Luxor.

Mender has started connecting again, albeit sparsely. If you're reading this, hi Mender! I therefore spared his home. I also left the Dancing Dragons Inn in place. I've recycled the exits to the other areas listed and notified their owners by MUCKmail. If we don't hear from them in six months or so, I'll go ahead and delete the areas entirely.

That all sounds good with me.
And well we were RP'ing having a hospital in town when the show never revealed having one. Then in a later season when Dash got hurt, we saw we did have one. Though we have always had the one nurse pony at least. But it seemed like more of an outdoor curtained off area. So I don't see it hurting having a small inn. :-)
