How long has it been since Discord's magic took it's toll upon her? Two? Three months? It all seems like a bad dream that she just woke up from. The last thing she remembered was falling out of the sky and being caught by the lord of chaos, then next she was waking up on stage, hearing the crowd roar for a name that wasn't hers.
Pushing open the door to the studio, she is met with the usual happy salutations from her friend Vinyl Scratch and even Rainbow Dash was waiting to hear her first single to be released. After a quick round of hugs to both of them and some quick conversation, she steps into the recording booth with her guitar. With a quick, guarded smile through the window to Vinyl who gives her a hoof's up, she starts to strum as she hears the drum beat rumble through the headphones in her ear. Leaning into the microphone, she lets out a soft breath that she is holding before she starts to sing with her usual beautiful, raspy voice as this track is meant to be an inspirational rock ballad.

As the music comes to a rumbling end, Medley's eyes are filled with tears of frustration as she strums away at the guitar for a few moments before she sinks back into the large bean bag chair that is settled upon. She can feel the eyes of worry upon her from her friends on the other side of the mirror, knowing that what she went through is not so easily forgotten.
After a few minutes of sitting as she stares up at the ceiling, she gives the guitar another few soft twangs before putting it to the side and exiting the room. She gives another quick hug to her two friends, assuring them that she was alright and that she was just working it out in her song.
Lunch plans are made for later and she leaves, taking flight back home to Cloudsdale. Having slipped in through the back door to avoid the cameras, she trots over to her bed and flops down into it, curling up with a pillow as she hugs it against her chest, going so far as to lean in to give it a gentle bite with her teeth into the fabric. It's the only way she knows how not to grind her teeth.
(What happened to the old days? All I want to do is fly)
