Well, dear ponies, it's that time of the year again, yes, that most colorful and lovely of times, the banana-slug season! What's that?
Oh, dear. Wrong announcement. I fear I let my enthusiasm for the oozing little dears get the better of me. No, dear ponies, what I meant to announce is that with autumn fast approaching, we should begin planning now for the annual Running of the Leaves race, as seen in the episode Fall Weather Friends!
The first official day of autumn is Saturday, September 22nd, but perhaps that is too soon to run the leaves off the trees? Perhaps it would be better to wait a few weeks and enjoy the hues of autumn before we leave the trees with lovely skeletal-bare branches for the coming winter? I bring the subject up a little early to give everypony a chance to talk about exactly when we should hold such an important event, as well as give ponies the time to train for the big race, should they choose to participate.
So let's plan for the muck's first big seasonal event since Winter Wrap Up! Autumn is close at hoof!

The first OFFICIAL day of Autumn? Our American friend we are staying with has told us of this also; we decree it poppycock! The Autumnal equinox marks the middle of Autumn!
On a related note, how many trees do thee think Sky could burn down in the race?

On a related note, how many trees do thee think Sky could burn down in the race? Depends on whether my allergies are acting up!

I will be out of town that weekend, I'm afraid (and unlikely to connect to the MUCK for that time). But if you all want to do something fun that weekend, you all totally should!
